Henry was rushed to the vet today, Sep. 17th; the perianal tumor that he's had since we rescued him started bleeding profusely and his foster had to take him into the emergency vet. The vet is doing diagnostics right now to see if he can withstand the surgery to remove the tumor, especially with his renal disease. If we can proceed with surgery, Buddy Rescue Foundation needs your help with the estimated $2,500 total for diagnostics and surgery. Henry has come so far and is doing so well, we do not want to give up on him. Please help us help Henry continue to have the quality of life we've been able to give him. So many people have followed his story and donated graciously to help him since the beginning, please consider donating to Henry's fundraiser so he can continue to enjoy the happiness he's only recently discovered. Thanks for your support! http://www.youcaring.com/nonprofits/henry-needs-your-help-to-receive-immediate-medical-care/189708
Henry's Hope is a facebook page devoted to the story of an emaciated and injured foxhound mix who was rescued by Buddy Rescue Foundation from a shelter in SC in June 2014 when he was clearly in need of immediate medical care. Many people stepped up for him, making arrangements for his care and donating to cover his vet expenses. Like many stray dogs in the shelter, he had no name and so we named him Henry.
We will chronicle Henry's story from the beginning and update his progress which has been nothing short of miraculous so far, so that everyone can see how he is doing. Henry has a difficult road ahead, and we will tell his story of hope, not only for his recovery and the quality of life that we are able to give him, but also hope for other hounds, and what we can do to help the dogs that continue to endure the cruelty, abuse and neglect that Henry has suffered.
These are the first pictures we saw of Henry at the Lancaster SC shelter. He was a broken dog physically and in spirit, so we did what we could to rescue him and get him medical attention he desperately needed. Follow Henry's story on facebook at Henry's Hope or through his fundraiser at http://www.youcaring.com/nonprofits/henry-needs-your-help-to-receive-immediate-medical-care/189708
