Your response to our appeal was overwhelming and Karissa had her second surgery less than a month ago. Look at her now in the video! We've also attached her original video below so you can see the dramatic improvement she has made thanks to everyone who contributed!

KARISSA IS A HAPPY GIRL AGAIN!!

Karissa was found as a stray in Chester County, SC limping through the woods with a severe injury to her hip. After being made aware of her situation, Buddy Rescue pulled her from the shelter so she would get the immediate medical attention she needed. X-rays revealed her hip joint was destroyed from a shotgun wound. Her first surgery fixed her shattered hip and femur but unforeseen nerve damage had made recovery impossible, requiring a second surgery.

Thanks to your donations to our chip-in for her second surgery, she has made a tremendous recovery and now has good mobility and will lead a normal life.
